Altrough there have been many w.o. in the last round im looking forward to the upcoming semifinal. Hopefully participants take it more seriously now. So, what do we get this round:Winners Bracket 5DEADLINE 31.08.2008 23:59 CETSingularizer vs xatah I think Singularizer is the man to watch out here. He is used to the most maps and seams like to have good aim with high ping. On the other side Xatah is practising a lot. My prediction is 2-1 for Singularizer! vrtx vs Solo Both players are very active and both won with high frag margine. I think this will be the first real challenge for both. Really hard to predict but I will go with 2-1 for Solo. |

Well we probably have most WOs already given out and there will probably not as many in the upcoming games. Some have gone inactive and some have had PCs crashing etc. A sad thing I noticed is the dropping in middle of the game giving a "WO" of the map, this is imo really sad. Please play your games all the way to the end, not nice for the guy who has pracced a map for several hours to play it 2min and then "that's it". I have decided to take a closer look at the brackets atm and do some small prediction/briefing about what might happend. WB games left: Tezz vs Singularizer 0:2 Both played dm2 in their last game, both against players that probably chose their homemap to be dm2. Yes, they both also won it! So if we will see a dm2 then I would be quite sure to see some really tight fighting. As I saw the last game of Singularizer I am quite confident that he will take ztndm3 as homemap which he is really strong on. Not seeing Tezz play makes it hard for me to predict what he might be up to, but knowing the opponents level of skill I am quite sure this will be one of the most important wins for whoever comes out as a winner of this game!! Winner of this game will absolutely be a strong winnercandidate too! Xatah vs Sk1n w.o. for Xatah I can see a slight more bets going for the win of Xatah here, mostly because he is more experienced and has more mapknowledge. Scores with high count of frags gives it away... but Sk1n is probably one of the best aimers in the tournament even if he hasn't played QW for too long. Beating Firelight is a quite big thing in this tournament. As I did watch the game there was really tight situations and one thing was really clear... Sk1n could handle preassure. Well we shouldn't really forget about the wins Xatah has got so far either: vs Blastistic with 2-1 is probably the most important. I bet we've got some tight maps coming up! Vrtx vs MLr- w.o. for Vrtx Here we've got something where I can't really say who will come out as a winner... too much depending on what maps are going to be played! Aerowalk seems to be a map which both knows well. Since MLr- only lost with 2 frags vs Hejsan I bet he will fight back against Vrtx on it too. Would guess that Aerowalk will be played here but the hard part is to guess who's map it will be. Aimwise there shouldn't be too much difference here. Both have a strong win behind them, Vrtx has against Hyrveli and MLr- against Hejsan. The special thing here is that all maps that were played is afaik in their "collection of strong maps" (except that one map of Hate).... The Maps will decide, the maps will decideee... the maps will... but still, 2-1 it is... the winner is ?? Solo vs Gpl w.o. for Solo Russia meets France. Both are quite experienced, played for a while and paused for a while and then some more etc etc. So mapknowledge should be quite even here. Gpl hasn't been seen that much on servers lately so I would guess Solo has a slight advantage in gameform. As a small surprise to me all players so far that are in the top 8 WB has faced some players that are strong, so nobody has come this far an easy route. Solo got Hunter fragged quite easily it seems even if Hunter is considered a quite stable and strong player. Gpl just dropped Birdflyer down to LB with a tight but still solid fragamount. Both knows the maps, both aims nicely, both have dropped down strong players to LB, both will have a tight game ahead! GL & HF guys, this is one game to watch! ---------------------- LB Several tight games coming up here too, and people you've gotta remember that there will be some players from LB to fight WB in the end! Only one game so far played in LB4 and as LB4 will soon come to an end we will know which 8 players will proceed to LB round 5. When LB5 is played we will know who from WB4 has dropped down to face the players that has advanced from LB5 to round 6 in LB. So if we keep this short -> 2 more rounds of LB and we will have 100% of supertight fights in LB. WBs tight fights will start as soon as the players write ready in the console! From now on things will speed up a little bit. Participants in the losers bracket will have to play 2 matches per week! Don`t cry for your mama if you are kicked out of this tourney, just because you felt too comfortable and couldn't inform an admin the reason your match hasn't been played yet. Here we go:) Round 1 is over and 17 of 32 matches have been played. THIS MUST BE BETTER! Don´t do this fault again and contact your opponent as soon as possible! We admins would like to see your arranged matches on Qwdrama Schedule. So we have a better overview what`s going on and where we have to put some pressure on players. Just a short remember and warning! Today is your last chance to play your open round 1 matches. At the moment only half of the matches have been played and thats a way to less. If you have any problems to get in touch with your opponent, write a short message to an admin via email or IRC #ignition.qw. Otherwise we have no other option than kicking inactive players out of the tourney! Then there are some players who forgot to take screenshots of their games.
