Congratulations to JCage for winning the Rookies division of Ignition 4! Well played to wakecold, degrave, Jehar and basically to all of you who actively participated in the tournament. We hope everyone enjoyed the tournament and the great game which QuakeWorld is. We are still waiting for the Advanced Rookies division to finish, we have Losers' Bracket game waiting to be played and then the Grand Final of course. We will be running more tournaments in the beginning of the new year, so stay tuned and check this website and quakeworld.nu for more info we will have later. |

The second round in Ignition #4 has been dealt with and when the gun smoke has settled we can see that there are also quite a few walkovers this time unfortunately. In two cases i decided to drop two players from a game as none of them have showed any sign of life nor did they play their previous game. As the deadline for round 1 has now passed we enter round 2 which also means the players that lost their first game continue in the losers bracket. As not all game in round 1 of winner's bracket were played, walkovers have been awarded to some players for various reasons. In the cases where there were no shows the walkover was awarded to the player who showed the most dedication to schedule the game by trying to contact their opponent. Also notice that when you are in the losers bracket you are expected to play two games per week! For you to avoid getting another W.O. due to being unable to schedule the game, i would advise to either join the IRC channel #Ignition on Quakenet or ask your opponent when they can play in the comments to the scheduled match! This way we know that you are alive and are trying to get the game played and it makes it easier for us administrators to track the progress.
